Passive house quality

A passive house does not require an active heating system and therefore relies heavily on the thermal insulation and air-tightness of the façade. Based on the standard series, WICTEC 50 can be used for aluminium/glass façades suitable for passive houses at minimal additional cost. The thermal insulation is improved to passive-house quality with a Uf-value of 0.74 W/m² K when using triplex glass and an easy-to-install thermal break profile, and as a result fulfils the demanding thermal insulation requirements for this type of building.

Advantages of  at a glance

  • Extension to WICTEC 50 with optimised thermal insulation
  • Thermal insulation: Uf-value = 0.74 W/m²K in accordance with EN ISO 10077
  • Triplex glass construction suitable for passive houses
  • Thermal break profile made of elastomer foam for subsequent use (infill thickness 45 to 51 mm)
  • Can be used as ± 5° polygon façade
  • System construction identical to standard WICTEC 50
